Jacquie Rogers was born in the UK and grew up in Australia. She lingered abroad in various countries for a long time before returning to Britain, where she worked in advertising and later as a university researcher and senior lecturer, before turning to writing.

She is the author of two crime-thriller series, both set in third century Roman Britain. Her continuing Quintus Valerius mysteries include the bestselling The Loyal Centurion. Her new Otto Cornelius series for Sapere Books begins with The Silver Mirror.

In 2020 and 2021 she was Runner-Up in the Lincoln Book Festival story competition. Her short stories have appeared in several crime and historical anthologies.

Jacquie lives in the Malvern Hills of England. She travels a lot by motorbike, and haunts cafés and pubs.
