Christopher M. Cevasco was born in New Jersey and spent a memorable decade in Brooklyn, NY, but he feels most at home in Roman, Post-Roman, and Anglo-Saxon Britain. A lifelong passion for history and fiction led him to earn degrees in Medieval Studies and English and later to embark upon a writing career that merges these loves. His debut novel, Beheld: Godiva’s Story (Lethe Press, 2022) is a darkly twisted psychological thriller re-examining the legend of Lady Godiva’s naked ride through eleventh-century Coventry.
Currently, Christopher is excited to be working on a new series of historical novels based on the Arthurian legends. Set in the sixth century, the series takes its inspiration from Geoffrey of Monmouth and some of the other earliest sources for King Arthur and Merlin.
Christopher has worked as an appellate attorney, and since 2018 has also been assistant series editor of the Best American Science Fiction and Fantasy annual anthologies published by Mariner Books/HarperCollins. He was the founding editor of the award-winning Paradox: The Magazine of Historical and Speculative Fiction, and his own short stories have appeared in several magazines and anthologies.
Christopher lives with his wife and their two children in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
