A thrilling novel of Operation Pedestal! Perfect for fans of Clive Cussler, Dewey Lambdin, Tom Clancy and Douglas Reeman.
About the Book
1942
After surviving the North Atlantic and the Arctic, Patrick Welch finds himself part of a convoy that is ordered to get through Maltese waters ‘at all costs’.
Malta is a critical thorn in German supply lines to Africa. The Germans want it, but Churchill has declared that it must be kept in British hands.
The locals are suffering and the British have already tried to send supply ships to them, with disastrous results.
Under constant attack, Welch and the crew of the US freighter Santa Elisa try to force a way through.
But as days of fighting off air and submarine attacks take their toll on the men, it starts to seem an impossible task.
They cannot give up. They either get through or Malta surrenders…
